Hi, my name is Panos and I am from Athens, Greece.  I am an economist and have been involved in American investments since 2015.  I hold an Msc from an U.K. university in 2005, so I was able to speak English fluently.  When I started working with American guys back in 2015, I felt that I had to practice my everyday American English.  I had to find an experienced teacher that would help me on this particular topic.  I had tried with several teachers in Greece and internationally through the web.  It was cool, but still I couldn’t find what I was seeking.  One day I came across Jennifer’s website.  I liked it and I felt that she could provide me with the solution to my problem.  I gave her a try and we arranged our first lesson. I remember that I was impressed with her professionalism and way of conveying to me new vocabulary, phrasal verbs and idioms.  She helped me a lot with grammar and she gave me particular tests in order to overcome my grammatical deficiency.     I don’t like to exaggerate, but I positively could say that Jenifer was by far the best English teacher I ever had.  She understood what I was looking for and she gave me exactly what I needed. As time went by, I started to become better and better.  Now I feel very confident when I am going to speak with a Native American speaker.

I recommend her not only to students, but to professionals too that want to master the everyday speaking.  

I'm 77 years old. I am from Brazil. One of my hobbies is studying foreign languages. I have studied English since my youth. As to reading and writing, I have gained considerable knowledge, so much so that most of my books are in English. However, in talking to people on the street, or watching a movie, my English still left a lot to be desired. So I decided to look for a native teacher on the internet and, luckily, I met Ms DeLapp. I did not regret the choice.

During this time I have been taking classes with her, I have vastly improved my ability to understand and speak English, losing the fear that prevented me from spontaneously initiating a conversation with natives. Hi. My name is Kelly. I live in Singapore. The following is my note of thanks & recommendation!

Jennifer is my first speech coach and she is very professional and punctual; not to mention, warm and caring. Although English is my first and native language, I have kept my mouth rather closed, eating up my words for close to 23 years. I got frustrated with 'You mumble mumble mumble' and (later) an attained mixture of accents. With the intent to simply speak clearly, I signed up for weekly classes in the midst of a busy schedule. In the period of 4 months, not only have I learned what was wrong in my word pronunciation and how to correct it, but also the basics of phonetics that govern the way of speech. This has been an extremely valuable investment I have made, and certainly would do this all over again.

On a side note, I initially felt it embarrassing learning to speak properly at an adult age - but everyone has to start somewhere and hey I've a right to speak clearly too!
